In support of Musharraf
TORONTO:
I think Pervez Musharraf is the only hope an average Pakistani has given that neither Asif Zardari nor Nawaz Sharif understand the basic needs of the ordinary person. Both the PPP and the PML-N have failed to live up to the many promises they made when they were trying to get votes. There are many who condemn Musharraf for what he did to the people of Balochistan when the military launched an operation against Akbar Bugti that lead to his death.
However, why cannot they see that the passing away of a man who refused to let the people of his constituency send their children to school is not necessarily a bad thing?
Pakistan needs someone like Musharraf who has served his country with dignity and there are a lot of moderate Muslims who support him.
