ISLAMABAD:
The main character of the Judge Arshad Malik video scandal Nasir Butt has filed an intra-court appeal for attestation of documents from Pakistani High Commission in London.

The intra-court appeal filed through Butt’s counsel against the judgment of single bench comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah pleaded that there were legal lacunas in the judgment and it should be set null and void.

It further said that the High Commission in London should be ordered to attest the audio and video of Judge Arshad Malik. On July 6, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) released the video of Judge Malik at a press conference in which he was shown confessing convicting Nawaz Sharif under duress.

The judge, however, accused PML-N’s activists Nasir Butt and others including Nasir Janjua, Khurram Yousaf and Mahar Ghulam Jilani for blackmailing him because of his ‘immoral’ video.

In a related development, the IHC chief justice had dismissed a petition filed by Nasir Butt against officials of Pakistani High Commission in UK for not verifying documents related to judge video scandal.
