Three FC personnel martyred in Quetta motorbike bomb blast

Police source says around 8kg of explosives were used in the motorcycle attack targeting FC vehicle

QUETTA:
A bomb-laden motorbike exploded near a vehicle of Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC), leaving three personnel martyred and wounding four others in Quetta on Friday evening.

According to an FC spokesperson, the vehicle carrying the law enforcers was targeted by terrorists when it was driving through Kuchlak bypass area.

"Three FC soldiers were martyred on the spot and four others sustained critical injuries in the powerful blast," a senior police of Kuchlak confirmed.

"Terrorists parked the explosive-laden motorcycle on the roadside and detonated it with a remote control," a police source said, adding that around 8kg of explosives were used in the bike that was used for the attack.

FC and police rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to Civil Hospital.

Later, the injured soldiers were transported to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta.

No group has claimed the responsibility for the blast yet.
