Repair of HFH road demanded

Residents say road has been in a state of disrepair for several years

The residents of Asghar Mall Government College in Mohallah Raja Sultan and adjacent areas located along the Holy Family Hospital (HFH) road have demanded that the Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation (RMC) repair the dilapidated road.

Talking to the media, residents said that the road has been in a state of disrepair for several years and that the authorities have failed to fix it.


Usman Kiani, a resident of the area, said that several people from the city and other parts of the province and neighbouring Islamabad visit HFH through this road daily. Potholes have developed on the road and it is creating a great inconvenience for motorists. He urged RMC officials to carry out immediate repairs before a fatal accident takes place.

Malik Saeed, a shopkeeper, said that due to the poor condition of the road, it has become impossible to travel on it, especially during rush hours. Similarly, residents of Saidpur scheme and Satellite Town E-block called for immediate repair of the road, which serves as a vital link to various areas and is of great convenience for the residents coming from various areas and helps reduce traffic load on Saidpur road.
