Football: Red Devils rout Revolution in friendly

BOSTON: A Federico Macheda brace helped Premier League champions Manchester United canter to a 4-1 win over New England Revolution as big money new signing Ashley Young made his debut. The Red Devils seized control of the friendly with three goals in 10 second devastating half minutes as they launched their US exhibition tour in rousing style. Michael Owen and Korean Park Ji-Sung also scored for United who started just four players from the side that lined-up for the Champions League final against Barcelona. Young made his United debut after joining the Red Devils from Aston Villa last month for a reported $27 million, while Wayne Rooney came on for the second half.
