A graphic designer by education and PR head at Elan and Zaha by profession, Shahrukh Imtiaz loves all things fashion. From her favourite silhouettes to how her style has changed over the years, this multi-talented girl shares it all!

Understanding your body is the key to looking good and a trait found amongst all impeccably dressed fashionistas. While people shy away from talking about their bodies, these brave souls explain how they work their anatomies to their advantage

Describe your body type?

Bodies come in all shapes and sizes. That’s part of what makes each of us unique. I have a neat hour glass body type.

Has your body type changed over the last five years?

Yes! I had a rectangular body type which has changed and turned in to neat hour glass body shape.

How has your style changed over the years?

I always style myself with basic colours or go bright and bold. But the way I used to do my make-up has changed now from coral lips to nude lip colours. From dyed hair to black hair. No! I don’t even want to recall.

In your opinion, what is your most troublesome area?

I always get baby belly fat which is hard to lose.

How do you dress your body according to your body type?

I love wearing different silhouettes, colours and sometimes print too- mostly straight cuts with exaggerated sleeves or button up shirts.

In your opinion, what is the biggest mistake a person can make while dressing?

Not knowing their body type. Second, revealing too much- nothing wrong with baring some skin but  be sure to do it tastefully.

Which silhouette suits you the most?

I think straight - tailored cuts or wrap dresses.

What is the one piece of clothing that you shy away from wearing and why?

Body hugging clothes, as they always look unflattering and uncomfortable to me.
