Political parties and representatives have over the years indulged in social media campaigns to up their game.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern took to her Facebook page to share a 2-minute video wrapping up two years of her being head of state.

She was challenged by her own team to do so within two minutes however, she finished within two minutes and 56 seconds.

Ardern took this opportunity to publicise her governments’ achievement and policies in the video which gained instant popularity amongst the people with over 7.5k comments and 46k shares.

Even New Zealand's National party didn't hold back from taking a dig at Prime Minister's video too.

With Facebook and Twitter taking an active effort in banning political ads from their social media platform however, such videos can be used during election campaigns to gain publicity amongst the public.
