Comedian Kevin Hart proclaimed his “world was forever changed” after he suffered a serious back injury when the vintage muscle car he was riding in crashed nearly two months ago in California.

In a video posted recently on Instagram, the 40-year-old thanked his family and friends and reflected on how he now sees life differently.

Hart struggled to walk and showed him doing physical therapy with a scar on his back. From now on, Hart said, he will take no aspect of life for granted, reported Inside Edition.

The comedian and film star posted the intimate video of his road to recovery following the accident that broke his spine in three places.

"Basically, what you realize is that you're not in control. No matter how much you think you're in control, you're not in control," he said as the nearly two-minute clip begins. The footage then shifts to images of his totaled vehicle.

"At the end of the day," Hart continued, "it can all be over." The comedian ended the video that he’s “thankful for life” and is looking forward “to an amazing 2020.”

The California Highway Patrol stated the man driving Hart’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda accelerated recklessly and lost control on Sept. 1. The car careened down an embankment and slammed into a tree. No one was wearing seatbelts.

"When God talks, you gotta listen. I swear, life is funny. Because some of the craziest things that happen to you end up being the things that you needed most," Hart said, reflecting on the incident.

"My appreciation for life is through the roof," he said. "Don't take today for granted because tomorrow is not promised."
