Preparations for annual Lok Mela finalised
To start from November 15 at the heritage museum on Garden Avenue in Shakarparian

The National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage — Lok Virsa has finalised preparations to hold the ten-day, annual folk festival, popularly known as ‘Lok Mela’ from November 15 to 24 in collaboration with all provincial culture departments.
Lok Virsa officials told the media that the ten-day folk festival is scheduled to start from November 15 at the heritage museum on Garden Avenue in Shakarparian.
They added that the 10-day festival aims to promote indigenous folk heritage and create harmony amongst all federating units while providing a platform to master artisans, folk artists and rural performers to get recognition for their talent at the national level.
The main features include provincial and cultural pavilions, folkloric songs and dance performances, an exotic craft bazaar, folk cuisine and many other attractions.
