Citing the remedy for this, he said that six to eight hours of sleep, along with a balanced diet and exercise could be helpful in prevention of cardiac diseases and added that the digital and print media could be utilised for creating awareness amongst the masses.
The Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) was amongst the most modern hospitals in the country. It is equipped with the latest technology where people from all over the country as well as Afghanistan come for treatment of heart related diseases, said Kiyani
He said that along with international standard healthcare facilities, the patients were provided with free of cost medicine.
He said that different teams from different United Kingdom (UK) and United States (US) expressed that they were impressed with RIC’s performance.
Regarding the problems faced by the hospital, most patients headed to RIC over worries of a cardiac problem. He added that a seven-member committee has been formed for needy patients who could not afford treatment due to different reasons.
