“The two-day strike will be a public referendum against government’s economic policies,” said Tanzeem-e-Tajiran Pakistan Central President Kashif Chaudhry while addressing officials of market associations from Islamabad on Thursday. He added that they will announce their next move if the government does not fulfil their demands, Chaudhry said. The traders’ community was pushed into protests and strikes for the protection of the national economy which was in doldrums due to poor economic policies of the government.
Traders across the country deemed IMF and FBR to be the same as they both wanted the country’s economy to collapse, Chaudhry claimed.
