Court issues show-cause notice to IO in murder case

Court gives a final warning to arrest K-Electric's staffer

KARACHI: A local court issued a show-cause notice to the investigation officer (IO) on Wednesday over the failure to arrest the accused nominated in the murder case of 12-year-old Furqan, who was killed due to alleged negligence of a K-Electric (KE) staffer. While hearing the case at Karachi City Court, the judicial magistrate expressed annoyance over the failure to arrest KE’s driver, the accused in the case.

The court remarked that two months have passed since the incident took place and a challan still hasn’t been submitted. Issuing show-cause notice to the IO, the court gave a final warning to arrest the accused and submit a challan by October 31.
