Sources told The Express Tribune that the song, namely, Maahi Diya Jhokan by Barkat Jamal Fakir was probably subject to 'copyright infringement' and might have been taken down because of that.
It was further informed that Rohail Hyatt was looking into the matter before it was restored, although officials at Coke Studio refused to comment on the matter.
The video disappeared from YouTube early on Sunday and was restored Monday afternoon. Nevertheless, it was available for viewing on Facebook
Mahi Diya Jhokan is a Seraiki Sufi track, which "explores a journey that requires one to look inwards and sacrifice all the temptations of this world."
