Hiring and firing

Several federal organisations enmeshed in the most severe administrative and financial crises

ISLAMABAD: It’s been reported that several Islamabad-based federal organisations are enmeshed in the most severe administrative and financial crises. This deepening crisis has not only generated unrest and demoralisation among the employees, but has also caused a massive backlash, in which much of the officers and staff members have turned against myopic men in the driving seat.

Aside from eroding the traditional checks and balances of institutions, these organisations in crisis have witnessed wastage and misallocation of resources, and a gross distortion of the system.

Is there any God-fearing person to take notice of the deepening organisational, fiscal and administrative crisis in the federal government?

The question is: why is the hiring and firing authority not keeping to the standards of honesty.

Why are only “spendthrifts”, medically “unfits” and physically “misfits”, who survive on doses of medicines and a handful of tablets a day, placed in key positions in important organisations? Can they hire such misfits for personal, private enterprise? If not, then why these liabilities for the government organisations?
