In a statement the CM said that Indian forces along the LoC and Working Boundary have been consistently targeting the civilian population with artillery fire, heavy caliber mortars and automatic weapons.
He also said escalation in ceasefire violations by India is continuing from 2017, when the Indian forces committed more than 1,970 ceasefire violations.
The chief minister also expressed his deep sorrow on the sad demise of innocent civilians and brave security forces personnel. He also appreciated the way Pakistani forces responded to the Indian aggression.
“The basic purpose behind the unprovoked firing on the LoC and Working Boundary is to divert the world’s attention from the situation in IOK and the war crimes committed by the Indian forces against unarmed innocent Kashmiri civilians,” said Jam Kamal.
The Balochistan CM further asserted that deliberate targeting of civilian population is indeed deplorable and contrary to the human dignity, international human rights and humanitarian laws.
The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation, he added.
