QUETTA: Following the tragic death of Makran division commissioner, Balochistan Chief Secretary Capt (retd) Fazeel Asghar has instructed the commissioners and assistant commissioners to check all the buses, trucks, pickups and other vehicles loaded with containers of petroleum.

In his tweet, Asghar said all the commissioners and assistant commissioners would be held responsible if any such vehicle is seen plying in their areas of jurisdiction. He also directed custom authorities and Frontier Corps to check the smuggling of petroleum products into Pakistan.

He urged the administration concerned to put in their best efforts with immediate effect to ensure action is taken against smuggling.

“Bread and butter should be earned through fair and legal means and especially by not playing with the lives of other people. The life of every individual is important,” Asghar said.
