Rahat’s magic takes over Twitter as Coke Studio 12 relases first ep

Although the majority approved, some still claimed that Rahat should stick to Jag Ghumiya

Following the release of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's new song, Dam Mastam, Coke Studio season 12 is now trending on Twitter.

Composed in raag Bhimpalasi, a hindustani classical raag, the song inculcates the the metaphor of being mast, or in the state of ecstasy. It follows a rhythmic sound, carrying verses which praise the Divine, while forgetting one's self in the field of creating art.

People began piling up on Twitter the moment after the song released, and it seems that they are mostly appreciating Coke Studio, and most importantly Rohail Hayat.

However, there were a few users who suggested that Rahat should simply stick to Bollywood numbers and that Atif Aslam has set the bar too high for him.

Regardless of which, the general audience has approved of the song as yet another masterpiece. Given that it may start off slow and steady, but with the violin kicking in after three minutes of the song, it takes a different turn altogether, and makes everything up-beat and groovy.

Nevertheless, here's what the initial listeners of Rohail and Rahat's new ensemble had to say:

However, there were some who thought otherwise.

Nevertheless, it all simmers down to two things, the song is must-listen and Rohail Hayat is a definite yes.
