Days after the death of three white lion cubs, Lahore Zoo welcomed five new additions on Wednesday.

During the past week, two calves each were born to two nilgais while a Chinkara deer also gave birth to a fawn in the zoo.

According to the zoo’s administration, all the newborns are healthy and being looked after.

Moreover, in anticipation of the changing weather, the animals have been vaccinated for various diseases.

Authorities feared an outbreak of Ranikhet disease among the birds.

However, there has been no major outbreak of the disease so far.

In this regard, birds at Safari Park, Jallo Park, Lahore Zoo and breeding centres being managed by the Punjab wildlife department have been vaccinated.

Meanwhile, other measures are also being taken to protect the birds.
