QUETTA: Secretary General Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has said that the time has come to get rid of the “incompetent” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government which has brought the country’s economy on the brink of disaster.

Speaking at a press conference here on Monday at the residence of MNA Maulana Wasey along with other party leaders, he said that JUI-F’s Azadi march will prove to be the last nail in the coffin of the incumbent government which already has lost its credibility and trust of the 22 million people of Pakistan.

He claimed that Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) has also announced full support to the JUI-F’s Azadi march. “We salute the leadership of PML-N on their courageous decision against the incompetent PTI government,” he said.

Defending the decision of Azadi march, Maulana Haideri said that the main objective behind the protest is to defend the democratic rights of the people who are facing hardships, including skyrocketing price hike and inflation.

Replying to a question Senator Haideri said that leadership and workers of JUI-F are intact and unbroken and government cannot divide them as they are united and ready to reach Islamabad on October 31. “If any miscreants try to damage the public property in the name of Azadi march, they will surely be apprehended and handed over to the police,” he said.

“On 27th October, a grand public gathering will be held to express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir,” JUI-F Secretary General said.

Talking about Kashmir dispute, Haideri said that the United Nations and world community failed to take a single concrete step towards a justified solution of the Kashmir issue. He criticised the UN and said that it could not succeed in implementing its own resolutions on Kashmir.

He said that JUI-F Balochistan workers and leaders will move towards Islamabad, after the demonstration and protest to express solidarity with the Kashmiris.

Talking about the arrangements of Azadi march, Senator Haideri said that all the preparations have been completed.

He added that the PTI government has imposed censorship on publishing the statements of JUI-F leaders.
