At least 30 dead, 452 injured as earthquake jolts AJK, Punjab

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the epicentre of the quake was in the Hindukush range in Afghanistan at a depth of 157 kilometres.

The jolts created fear among the locals and many came out of their residences and office buildings.

A devastating earthquake in September had rattled Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), resurrecting the haunting memories of a monster quake that had wrecked the region 14 years ago.

The shallow 5.6-magnitude earthquake had also jolted several cities of Punjab and K-P.
