City Scholympiad 11: Twin cities’ students prove their mettle

“City Scholympiad 11”, a four-day event organised by The City School’s capital campus concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony here on Sunday. According to a press release issued on Monday, students from a wide array of private schools of the twin cities were invited at the event to compete in a range of scholastic and non-scholastic competitions.

Participating teams competed against each other in photography, film-making, futsal, art, table tennis, volley ball, treasure hunt and even in eating the most amount of burgers. “The Battle of Bands” featured a magnificent display of talent by students in the musical extravaganza, while gaming competitions on PlayStation 3 consoles and networked computers were interesting additions to the show. Professional fashion designers were invited as judges at the fashion show, which received much acclaim at the event.

Prizes were distributed amongst the winning participants in the concluding ceremony, in which guests had been invited to witness the efforts of the students.
