RAWALPINDI: The residents of a neighborhood in Union Council (UC) Morgah are facing extreme difficulties due to shortage of water. The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Sub Engineer Adeel and Valve Man Ikram said that the water supply lines had worn-out and the issue would stay the same unless they were changed. Meanwhile, the residents including Haji Naveed and Ismail Khan said that the agency sent a bill of Rs800 despite the inadequate water supply. They expressed that WASA had shut the water supply for up to 10 days after every couple of months. Water was being supplied to an under-construction house of the agency’s employee while rest of the area was longing for it, they complained. The residents said that they would stage a protest outside WASA office if the issue was not resolved by Tuesday.
