Female swimmers set 7 new records

Over the course of two days, seven new records were created in 67 events at the competition

KARACHI: The country’s female swimmers emerged victorious at the 27th Palmolive Sindh Women’s Swimming Championship 2019 as the crowds celebrated the winners and the new records achieved in the six age groups that were contested. Sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) and organised by Karachi Women’s Swimming Association (KWSA) for the last 27 years, the Palmolive Sindh Women’s Swimming Championship has consistently provided a platform for female participants to hone their talent. Over the course of two days, seven new records were created in 67 events at the competition - setting challenging swim times for next year’s competitors. Chief Guest Maheen Rahman, Chief Executive of Alfalah GHP Asset Management presented medals to the winners. In all, 250 children and 23 institutions took part, and set new standards of record-breaking excellence through excellent sportsmanship, setting the bar high for next year.
