Where salaries have not increased since 2010 and employees often wait for four months to receive them
KARACHI: I want to draw the attention of the government towards countless problems the Pakistan Steel Mills employees are facing. Pakistan Steel Mills is the largest industry in Pakistan. Unfortunately today, the production is close to nothing. The crisis started in 2009 and the employees of the mills are now facing lots of problems because their salaries have not increased since 2010 and they receive it after a delay of four months. The hospitals that are on the steel mills employee panel do not treat the employees and their families because the mills never pay their charges. Families are also facing so many problems. Recently retired employees of the Pakistan Steel Mills have not received their retirement dues for three years.
Now that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is in power, its government should take action on this crisis and solve the problem of salaries and dues of retired employees.
