Three accused, including the stepbrother of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Javed Iqbal, were acquitted by the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday in the murder case of the accountability chairman's parents.
The court, in its decision today, said that there was a lack of sufficient evidence against the suspects Naveed Iqbal, Abbas Shakir and Ameen Ali.

The three men - including the stepbrother of the incumbent NAB chairman, Naveed Iqbal - were arrested by the police in 2011 after the murder of Malik Abdul Hameed and Zarina Bibi over a money dispute had been dispatched.
The suspects were fined Rs550,000 each and sentenced to death by the Supreme Court in 2011.
