QUETTA: Taftan Rifles have seized 425 kilogrammes of hashish and 140 kilogrammes of opium during a raid in the Mashkeel area of Washuk district, Balochistan a day ago. Officials said that the consignment of hashish and opium was brought to Mashkeel from Afghanistan for its onward shipment to Iran and Gulf states through the coastline of Makran. The smuggling news was leaked and the Taftan Rifles wing of Frontier Corps South conducted a raid on the Mashkeel town near Pak-Iran border and recovered the drugs dumped in the area. However, no arrest was reported in this regard.
