Mugging: Textile factory owner robbed of Rs9m

FAISALABAD: Four robbers held a textile factory owner and stole Rs 9 million from him on Sunday. According to police officials, textile dining factory owner Shahbaz Bhatti was on his way home at Peoples Colony with his brother and a coworker when robbers opened fire on him. Three robbers stole Rs 9 million in cash, Rs25,000 from his wallet and a mobile phone. Mansoorabad Police had been informed of the incident but the police officials reached the scene after 45 minutes and the men escaped. Residents of the area protested against the police and blocked Jhumra Road for several hours, demanding the removal of the station house officer (SHO).
