QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs Mir Zia Langove on Tuesday urged the international community to invest in the province, pledging them ironclad security.

Reiterating that Balochistan has vast opportunities for investors, he said the provincial government has restored peace and foreign companies would benefit from doing business in the provincial sectors.

“The Balochistan government would ensure strict security arrangements for all the national and foreign companies willing to invest in the province,” the provincial minister vowed. “Balochistan is replete with natural resources and private companies are encouraged to invest here,” Langove said, adding that progress in the province would contribute towards Pakistan’s prosperity.

Talking about his visit to the United States, the provincial minister said the delegation of the government met US senators and briefed them about Indian involvement in fuelling terrorism in Balochistan.

“The Indian intelligence agencies have been providing sanctuaries to armed groups in Afghanistan and funding them to carry out attacks against innocent Pakistanis,” he said.

Langove added that Prime Minister Imran Khan during his UN General Assembly speech unveiled the true face of the Indian government. The Kashmir issue was also raised effectively on the international forum, he said.

“It is unfortunate that some people in Pakistan are spreading misinformation among the people. They claim that the Kashmir issue is limited till Jehlum and Lahore but they should know that people of Balochistan have always remained on the frontline in solidarity with the people of Kashmir,” the provincial minister said.

“Propaganda about independent Balochistan has completely vanished and failed. Every single child in Balochistan believes that Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan,” Langove stated.

Langove urged the United Nations (UN) and the international community to play their role in addressing the Kashmir issue and take notice of the Indian atrocities in the occupied valley.

“Indian government is brazenly breaching the United Nations Security Council’s resolution and committing human rights violations in the occupied Kashmir,” the minister said during his visit to the United States a few days ago.

He also pledged that Pakistan would continue highlighting the Kashmir issue at every international forum in order to expose Indian brutalities against Kashmiri people. The minister vowed to continue lending moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris.

“The UN and the world community should play their part for granting Kashmiri people the right to self-determination because they have the right to take their own decisions,” said Langove.
