MANCHESTER, UK: A digital media campaign was launched in Manchester to express solidarity with the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK).
Member of Parliament Kate Green inaugurated the campaign alongside Faizan-e-Islam and Tehreek-e-Kashmir (TeK) United Kingdom (UK) against India’s unilateral action of illegally stripping the occupied valley of its special status.
Vans with digital advertising displayed messages in support of the Kashmiris. The ads underscored the plight of the people of Kashmir who have been under a curfew for the past 58 days.

"The digital campaign is a chance to tell the world that together we can bring peace, justice and freedom for the people of IOK," MP Green said adding that the current situation in occupied Kashmir is unimaginable.
“Actions taken by the Indian government are a complete breach of international law," she stressed.
She further said that the world powers should help each other in resolving this issue.
Photo: ExpressUnited Kingdom Tehreek-e-Kashmir (TeK) President Raja Fahim Kayani also spoke at the launch and said: "The people of IOK are looking towards London to pressurize New Delhi to end the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and allow the people of the disputed territory to exercise their right to self-determination and decide about their future."
He said Kashmiris were being punished for their right to self-determination.
Earlier in August, London observed India’s Independence Day as a Black Day to express solidarity with the besieged people of IOK.
