ISLAMABAD:

The matter of revised fees for schools in the federal capital has once again been delayed as Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued notices to respondents on a stay application filed by Private Schools Association (PSA).

Justice Amir Farooq presided over the case regarding fee structure of private schools in Islamabad on Monday.

During the hearing, the applicant’s counsel said that the Supreme Court (SC) verdict regarding recalculation of school fees was limited to schools in Sindh and Punjab, and did not include Islamabad. He pleaded the court to declare the orders of fees recalculation by Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) as void.

At this, the court issued notices to respondents for clarification and stopped the authority from taking any action against private schools in the meantime.
