NAB seeks details of Qaimkhani's tenure  

The national watchdog also sought details about funds spent on the development and upkeep of parks in Karachi

KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) officials have sought details about former director general of parks, Liaquat Qaimkhani, who is currently being interrogated for alleged corruption and possessing assets beyond means. The national watchdog has also sought details about funds spent on the development and upkeep of parks in Karachi. Reportedly, NAB has asked for particulars pertaining to the expenditure in the fiscal years 2004-05 and 2009-10, as well as the records of development funds spent on parks in the metropolis over the past five years.  NAB has also approached the local government for Qaimkhani's service profile. It is alleged that billions were spent on the repair and restoration of parks during Qaimkhani's tenure.
