Three bogies derail near Rohri station

Rescue and relief operations immediately started by local railway authorities

KARACHI: Three bogies of Tezgam Express derailed near Rohri station on Saturday. As a result, the flow of rail traffic, on both up and down tracks, was affected. However, no loss of life was reported due to the derailment and following the incident, rescue and relief operation was immediately started by the local railway authorities.  

Train derails in Model Colony

A cargo train went off track near a railway crossing in Model Colony. The derailed train couldn't be put back on the track till late at night before it left for its destination. Also, as a result of the derailment, the flow of traffic was disrupted in nearby areas, and the citizens had to face inconvenience as the barrier at the railway remained closed for long hours. Expressing annoyance, the citizens criticised the railway department for its poor performance.
