Rallies taken out in Balochistan in solidarity with Kashmiris

Appeal to the United Nations to play a constructive role by stopping India from suppressing Kashmiris

QUETTA: Rallies were held across Balochistan on Friday to show solidarity with people of Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) which is under a continuous military lockdown since August 4, a day before Indian government illegally stripped the occupied valley of its special status.

One of these rallies started from the central library of Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology in Khuzdar and concluded at the varsity’s admin office. Students, teachers, the staff of the university and civil society members attended the rally, holding different placards and chanting slogans.

They demanded that India must recognise Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. They also appealed to the United Nations to play a constructive role by stopping India from suppressing Kashmiris.

The Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) also organised a rally and protest in solidarity with Kashmiris in Chaman. The rally marched through different streets of the border town.

In Dera Bugti, the education department and civil society staged a protest again Indian inhuman treatment of people of Kashmir.
