LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar took notice on Friday of the clash among student organisations and clash of students with security guards in Punjab University (PU). The governor ordered PU Vice Controller (VC) Dr Niaz Ahmed Akhtar to submit a report after initiating an inquiry into the matter. As per details, the governor directed the PU VC to maintain discipline and peace at the campus. He added that being chancellor of the university, he would not tolerate any clash and mismanagement on campus. “All elements involved in violence on campus would be dealt with strict action.” The governor maintained that no one would be allowed to disturb educational activities in the university.
