266 drug peddlers arrested in six days

LAHORE: Lahore Police, during its crackdown around educational institutions in the city, arrested 266 drug peddlers in the last six days. City Division Police registered 59 cases, Cantonment Division 57 and Civil Lines Division 22, Saddar Division 71, Iqbal Town Division 23, whereas Model Town Division registered 34 cases during their crackdown. Police also recovered 76.657 kilogrammes of hashish, 32 grammes of ice, 505 grammes of heroin, 580 grammes of opium, more than 9 kilogrammes of ‘bhang’ and 1,494 litres of liquor from the arrested persons.
