‘Martyrs are pride of the nation’
The peace and tranquility in Pakistan is the result of sacrifices rendered by brave martyrs
LAHORE:
We pay tribute to all those families who sent their sons to the borders for the country’s defence, said Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Mian Aslam Iqbal. “The peace and tranquility in Pakistan is the result of sacrifices rendered by brave martyrs.” He expressed these views while addressing a ceremony at Alhamra Hall in memory of martyrs on Wednesday. The provincial minister said that proud nations never forget their martyrs. “There is a need to constantly remind the youth about the great sacrifices rendered by martyrs for the country. The enemy should not miscalculate our abilities; we do want peace but would prefer to die bravely instead of showing any cowardice.” The ongoing situation in Indian-held Kashmir demands that we should be ready for sacrificing everything, he added.
