HYDERABAD:
Peoples Party leaders met the leader of Jamiat-e-Ulema-e-Pakistan, Sahibzada Zubair, for a meeting on Saturday. Zubair called for action against the terrorists, extortion seekers and criminal elements wreaking havoc in Karachi. He also said that the entire nation will support President Zardari if he attempted to release the nation from shackles imposed by the Americans. Federal law minister Moula Bux Chandio, provincial minister Zahid Bhurgari, MNA Shagufta Jummani, and district party leaders met Zubair at his residence. “I have a spiritual relationship and an old intimacy with Sahibzada Zubair,” the law minister told the press before the meeting began. Responding to a query, the law minister said the government will restore the old local government system because the system president Musharraf introduced contradicted the spirit of the constitution and provincial autonomy.
