Unidentified: Body of a young man recovered

The sketches of the boy’s face will be published through print media if nobody claims the body within 24 hours.

Body of a young man was recovered from a pond in Dhok Kashmirian near Golra on Saturday.


The locals discovered a large sack in the pond and informed the Golra police after they found a mutilated body of a young man aged around 25-26 years. Police arrived at the scene and took the body to Pims for autopsy after collecting necessary evidence.

A police official said that the body was at least four to five days old and mutilated but still identifiable. He said it appeared that the young man was strangulated, however, the exact cause of death will be known after the postmortem.

The officials suspected that the victim is not a local as no one has appeared to collect his body, which is currently stored in the mortuary of Pims . He said that sketches of the boy’s face will be published through print media if nobody claims the body within 24 hours.

The police have registered a murder case against the culprits and efforts are being made to trace the victim’s family.
