Bank Heist: Robbers escape with Rs5m cash

RAHIM YAR KHAN: A gang of robbers stole Rs5 m in cash from a private bank in tehsil Sadiqabad on Saturday morning. According to police officials, the incident occurred nearly 35 kms from Rahim Yar Khan in broad daylight. Eyewitnesses told police officials that eight dacoits entered a branch of UBL Ltd in Sanjarpur and held the bank staff at gunpoint while they loaded the cash into three gunny bags. The robbers then rode away on motorcycles with the loot. District police officer (DPO) RYK, Sohail Habib Tajik went to the site and has launched an investigation.
