Levies recovers huge cache of arms

The concerned authorities have started further investigation and interrogation in this regard

QUETTA: Balochistan Levies Force has arrested an Iranian citizen and recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunitions from his possession during an intelligence based operation at Pakistan-Iran border city of Taftan in Chagai district. According to Chagai Deputy Commissioner Fateh Khan Khajjak, during the operation – led by Taftan’s Tehsildar Zahoor Ahmed – several hand grenades, suicide jackets, rocket launchers, rifle rounds, remote control fuses, satellite phone and foreign SIMS were recovered. The detained suspect was recognised as Farsheed s/o Imam Bakhsh hailing from Khwash border town of Iran. Sources said the arms and ammunitions had been buried underground in a house in Taftan where two Iranian pickup vehicles were also found parked. The concerned authorities have started further investigation and interrogation in this regard.
