Football: NBP crush Navy in PPFL

Army rally to beat KPT 2-1.

KARACHI:

Faisal Iqbal’s brace helped NBP crush Pakistan Navy 4-1 in the Pakistan Premier Football League while Pakistan Army rediscovered their form, winning 2-1 against KPT.

Mohammad Ramzan scored the opening goal of the match as Navy took an early lead in the 14th minute. However, Iqbal equalised in the 27th minute before scoring another two minutes later. Atiqullah scored for NBP in the 43rd minute with Mohammad Asif wrapping up the game in the 61st minute. Army staged a comeback after KPT captain Akhtar Mamoul scored in the 20th minute. Mohammad Ikram struck the equaliser in the 36th minute before Ghulam Rasool scored in the 56th minute to seal the win.
