3 Bollywood starlets that grabbed eyeballs at IIFA 2019

While Deepika and Katrina hit all the right notes, Alia failed to leave a mark

Entertainment Desk September 20, 2019

The most-awaited award show in India, IIFA, took place on Wednesday night, showcasing nothing less than glamour and grandeur. Celebrities graced the evening with the most impeccable looks, making immaculate appearances in flamboyant dresses and shimmering makeup. Where several managed to make an impression and grab the spotlight, some did not dress up to the mark and failed within a flash.

However, these three divas revived the monochromatic elegance as they wore one colour to the epitome of its pomp. Compiled from International Business Times, here are three looks from the event that caught everyone's attention, for both good and bad reasons.

Deepika Padukone

Of course, Deepika made a wild impression with her lilac lace gown, designed by the renowned Gaurav Gupta. The feather bottom added to the flares as she radiated luxury and power. However, it was her long veil which made the dress even more appealing, adding to the royalty of the look as she swayed her way to the top list of the most appealing women at the event.

Katrina Kaif

This Bollywood star dazzled in a skin tight, backless red dress with maroon embellishments. Her long hair, simple earrings and makeup oozed oomph as she carried herself with grace and confidence in a bold look amidst the pastels and whites.

Alia Bhatt

Then there was the Raazi girl, who carried herself unapologetically in an ethereal and flowing, off-shoulder peach gown. Alia's makeup was dramatic however, her overall look did not deliver unrestrained attraction, as it lacked the subtle touch of sumptuousness and extravagance. Nevertheless, the look saved her the princess vibe she attempted to give off.
