The deputy conservator, Wajid Ali Shaikh, told The Express Tribune that seven suspects have been arrested. “We have recovered the decapitated heads, hides and meat of Sindh Ibex from the suspects,” he told the media.
According to Shaikh, the group has been operating in the area from quite some time. “We were trying to catch them in the act.” The wildlife’s game officer, Asad Ali Mari, informed that they also recovered unlicensed guns from their possession.
The wildlife officials have lodged two separate FIRs against the suspects, including one under the wildlife act and the other under Pakistan Penal Code at the police station for possessing unlicensed weapons.
