Stella is recognised as the first Black-Italian designer and is considered to be Giorgio Armani's protégé. She often creates unique cultural fusions in her work and was highlighted by the New York Times as the most convincing of all the New Gen designers in Milan.

But what is perhaps the most auspicious new venture of the critically acclaimed designer is that her upcoming collection will feature handicrafts from northern Pakistan.

The pair were selected for the prestigious fashion week after Stella visited Pakistan earlier this year. The designer had met with government representatives and particularly observed the craft indigenous to the north.
