Murree to get trauma centre

Besides serving the local people will also help thousands of tourists who visit the hill station

RAWALPINDI: A trauma centre will be developed in Murree, a meeting chaired by Commissioner Saqib Zafar was told on Tuesday. Zafar issued directives for preparing project concept (PC1) for the trauma centre in Murree.

The health facility, besides serving the local people will also help thousands of tourists who visit the hill station.

However, owing to growing rush of tourists at Murree, the government has decided to develop Kotli Sattian and Kahuta as new tourist resorts.

Commissioner and MNA Sadaqat Abbasi reviewed the progress of different development projects in Murree, Kahuta and Kotli Sattian.

Abbasi also instructed the authorities concerned to get approval for PC-I of Murree Trauma Centre so that construction could be started.

Commissioner Zafar said Punjab government was making efforts to provide all basic facilities to the residents of Murree, Kotli Sattian.
