Sexual abuse menace haunts Kasur again as remains of three minors found

Police say victims were sexually abused before being murdered and dumped

The bodies of three minor boys were found in Chunian Industrial Area on Tuesday. According to Express News, police believe the three minors were kidnapped before being killed.

Police stated that one of the three deceased has been identified as eight-year-old Sufyan, the son of Chunian resident Ramzan. However, the remaining corpses could not be identified due to the extent of decomposition. Police stated the children were kidnapped in separate incidents.

Police added that they believe the same culprit/culprits are responsible for all three deaths as the bodies were discovered in the same area.

Police are currently investigating the case further. Kasur DPO Abdul Ghaffar Qaisarani stated that the unidentified corpses were approximately two months old.

Kasur was thrust into the spotlight after the rape and murder of eight- year-old Zainab sent shockwaves through the nation. Zainab was kidnapped on January 4, 2018 near her aunt’s house in Kasur. Her body was discovered five days later from a garbage heap. The autopsy report revealed that she had been raped and murdered.

The news of the abduction, rape, and brutal murder of the eight-year-old shook the nation and triggered mass protests against police inaction in Kasur and other cities across the country.
