KARACHI: The Crime Investigation Department arrested two members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan in the Site area of Karachi on Friday.

The two men named Inamullah Mehsud, resident of North Waziristan, and Sajjadullah Mehsud, his facilitator, were arrested during a police raid in the Baldia area, according to senior police officials.

SSP CID said the arrested militants belong to the Hakeemullah Mehsud Group, and were arrested with two kilogrammes of explosive material and a 20 foot long detonation wire.

One of the militants is said to be a former TTP commander.

The arrest comes in the wake of ongoing violence in various parts of the city, including a blast outside a naval base.

Hamood | 14 years ago | Reply I agree with Ali. These courts are useless and have the blood of so many innocents on their hands. Time and again the acquitted terrorists reward these courts by suicide bombing more innocents. Most of these terrorists need to be tried by military tribunals or better yet the FIRING SQUAD.
