ISLAMABAD: Balochistan government has decided to promote domestic tourism to contribute huge revenue in the national exchequer. The authorities will impart training to the quarters concerned to satisfy and entertain tourists properly, an official of the provincial government told APP.

“Balochistan has huge potential in tourism. It is full of historical and cultural sites for local as well as international tourists," he said.

The incumbent government has also set up a tourism authority in the province in this regard. It remains a strong proponent of tourism promotion in the province, the official added.

The official also criticised the previous governments for poor policies. He said there was not a single state-of-the-art resort or motel for the tourists in the province compared to other parts of the country.

The official reiterated government’s commitment to uplift tourism sector through all possible means and as per international standards.
