Highway Crime: 4 bandits killed in attempted kidnapping

The hostages called for reinforcements via cell phone and dozens of armed Chachar clansmen arrived to their rescue.

Four alleged bandits were killed in an armed clash with villagers near Gahi Khan Bhayo village in Durrani Mahar police limits, near Kandhkot on Friday.


Three Chachar clansmen on a tractor-trolley loaded with buffaloes were intercepted by armed bandits and were taken hostage near Gahi Khan Bhayo village.

The hostages managed to call for reinforcements via cell phone and dozens of armed Chachar clansmen arrived to their rescue.

The bandits opened fire when they saw the clansmen and four bandits - Gul Hassan Bhayo, Ghaffar Bhayo, Badar Bhayo and Bashir Bhayo — were killed in the crossfire while their accomplices escaped. The bodies were taken to Kandhkot hospital.
