Power looms: Labour wages increased by 13%

FAISALABAD: The District Labour Board has decided to enhance wages of power loom workers by 13.25 per cent which will take effect from July 1. The decision was taken in a meeting of the board with District Coordination Officer (DCO) Naseem Sadiq in the chair. Government officials and representatives of power loom and other industrial workers attended the meeting. The labour board also decided that appropriate steps would be taken for speedy issuance of social security cards to industrial workers.
